Description:

Choose the correct translations, memorize words, and learn English with Important English Words 7000. This English dictionary is created from words taken from the following lists: "The Oxford 3000 Wordlist," "The Oxford 2000 Wordlist," and "Coca." The words are divided into English language levels (CEFR: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).

Important English Words 7000 includes translations of 7000 key English words in the following languages:

Each word in the app comes with a translation, transcription, and audio pronunciation. American pronunciation is used.

The words in the app are sorted by frequency of use and can be used for memorization using the "Leitner system," a distributed repetition technique. The words are divided into five groups:

<ul>
 <li>G1 - New words and unlearned words</li>
 <li>G2 - Newly learned words</li>
 <li>G3 - Well-learned words</li>
 <li>G4 - Very well-learned words</li>
 <li>G5 - Perfectly learned words that do not require repetition</li>
</ul>

Words from group G1 are shown most often, accounting for 67% of cases. The frequency of impressions decreases in the following groups:

The display frequency and other parameters can be changed in the settings.

Choosing the correct translation of a word earns it one point. When a word reaches 10 points, it moves to group G2. Every additional 5 points moves the word to the next group. Users can also manually move a word to a selected group. Choosing the wrong translation will move the word back to group G1.

Words in group G1 are repeated in a cycle of 7 words until they move to group G2. The cycle is replenished with new words.

Click on the gear icon to access the settings. Users can adjust various settings, including sorting of words (by frequency or alphabetical order), repetition interval for learned words, number of correct answers required to learn a word, number of words per group, sound volume, username, and more. The app supports up to 4 users.

Statistics are generated for the entire time, day, and session. They display the number of words learned (as a percentage of the total), time spent, number of correct answers, and the number of the active word.

The application includes lists of the top English words, ranging from the top 1000 to the top 7000 English words.

For word translations, transcriptions, and pronunciations, the app utilizes resources such as translate.google.com, oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com, dictionary.cambridge.org, wordfrequency.info, showmeword.com, ldoceonline.com, vocabulary.com, lexico.com, context.reverso.net, macmillandictionary.com, collinsdictionary.com, and en.wiktionary.org.

The music used in the app includes tracks such as "Interlude-2" by Aerocity and "Pieces of Life" and "Like Music" by Analog By Nature. Images are sourced from freepik.com, vecteezy.com, and pixabay.com.
